Silver for Flash (s.Numero Uno) in the Seven-Year-Old Division!

In the best final of the day, the one for the seven-year-olds at the 1.45m level, Pieter Devos with Flash (s.Numero Uno) captured the silver medal. They were the last combination to go in the jump-off. Report from KWPN.nl

Although Pieter Devos has only been riding the Numero Uno son Flash (out of Adri-Sina L by Indoctro, breeder: Ad Roefs of Son) since April and has his sights set on the elite sport with this KWPN jumper, the combination already delivered a top performance. With four clear rounds in this championship, Pieter Devos took home the silver medal, and Flash’s breeder Ad Roefs received a nice breeders premium. “We’ve always had a lot of faith in Flash; and when he was four, I sold a fifty percent share in him to René Poels. His daughter Annemarie trained him from the time he was four, and because of her pregnancy, we sat down at the table again. Pieter also saw a lot of potential in him, so I sold Flash to him. It’s super that they immediately performed so well here!” explains the proud breeder.

Rider Pieter Devos is also full of praise for his silver trump card: “He’s a fantastic jumper, and I have great expectations of him for the future. I brought him here for the experience, and now we’re standing on the podium!” In the eight-combination jump-off, Monique van den Broek finished eighth on a horse bred by her father: Fasimos (Heartbreaker out of Cassima by Cassini I, breeder: Henk van den Broek of Sevenum).
